Shadow Ghost (The Girl)
The Shadow Ghost — referred to in hotel documents simply as 'The Girl' — is the first major enemy encountered in Resident Evil Requiem. She is a pale, emaciated humanoid with floor-length white hair and hollow black eyes, capable of phasing through walls and teleporting short distances. She is almost entirely invulnerable except when exposed to direct light sources. She feeds on corpses found throughout the Sanatorium wing of the Wrenwood Hotel, and her behavior is governed by sound — every noise Grace makes increases her aggro radius. Phase Breakdown
First Encounter — Sanatorium
Grace has no weapon. The Shadow Ghost is invulnerable in darkness. The only way to temporarily repel her is to lure her into a lit area or switch on hallway lights. Your primary objective is retrieving the Power Cell and Screwdriver — not fighting her. Run to the light when she fixates on you. She de-aggros within 2–3 seconds of standing in direct light.
Persistent Pursuer — Care Center
Throughout the Care Center, the Shadow Ghost appears intermittently as an ambient threat. She teleports between floors. Use doors to break line of sight. She cannot open locked doors. Hiding in a locker or crouching inside closets confuses her patrol route.
Final Confrontation — Courtyard
After Grace retrieves the Requiem revolver from Leon's emergency cache, she can directly damage the Shadow Ghost for the first time. Three accurate shots while the Shadow Ghost is illuminated by the courtyard floodlights will end the encounter permanently. This also unlocks the 'Bring Out The Big Guns' trophy if you land the stun, and contributes to the 'Grace and Goliath' trophy chain.
