BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance)

Chris Redfield

First appearance: Resident Evil (1996)

Chris Redfield is the longest-serving protagonist in the Resident Evil franchise. A former USAF combat pilot who joined S.T.A.R.S., he survived the Spencer Mansion incident, uncovered Umbrella's crimes, co-founded the BSAA, and personally killed Albert Wesker in 2009. By the time of Resident Evil Requiem, Chris is in his mid-40s and remains one of the most battle-experienced operatives on Earth.

His defining characteristic is relentless determination — Chris has been beaten, betrayed, and manipulated more than any other character in the franchise, and has emerged from each experience more resolute. His relationship with his sister Claire is the emotional anchor of his character, and his rivalry with Wesker defined the franchise's first decade.

Personality

Stoic, intensely driven, and defined by a soldier's sense of duty. Chris lacks Leon's wit and Jill's precision but compensates with sheer physical resilience and tactical thinking refined over decades of combat.
