The Classic 70 is a bolt-action precision rifle with a wooden stock and classic design — aesthetically reminiscent of the Bolt Thrower crossbow from RE4 but operating as a standard firearm. It requires manual bolt cycling between shots, limiting its rate of fire to approximately one aimed shot every 2.5 seconds. What it offers in return is the highest base precision stat of any standard weapon and consistent headshot critical damage from long range. It uses Rifle Ammo, which is the rarest ammunition type in the game — making every shot count. The Classic 70 is the ideal weapon for engaging Garmr dogs during the motorcycle chase (one-shot headshot kills), and for long-range engagement of armored Umbrella soldiers in the ARK Facility approach who are too far away for shotguns and too heavily armored for handguns.
